HARRELL COAT OF ARMS

Thanks for the feed on coat of arms. I've seen a number of them but it depends on where you look back to and how far back as to which would apply to any single current family line. Also many times people use other spellings to select a given coat of arms for their line. My Great Grand Father Levi Harrell would not want them since he served this country in it's battle for freedom and the basic coat of arms is part of the British system they sought to be free of. He in his will some thirty years later, 1806, made special reference to the fact it was now thirty years since we gained ourt freedom.
As per will: "Given under my hand this 25th day of Feburary in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six, and in the 13th year of the American Independance"... Levi Harrell, I, RS. I have a copy of the entire will from Barnwell County SC where the original is on file....
Also a few older records indicate members of the Harrell family might have been sent to America to serve out sentences for crimes against the Crown. Thus they wanted no part of it or their social Orders and societies...
