My have line traces back to VA as early as 1734, and moves into NC around 1750 then SC before 1800 and GA as early as 1808. There are members of it who stopped off along the way to GA and could well have gone on to other states. As many of the family had as many as six or more children in them, and not all of them moved to GA... They came to GA to get free land taken form the indians of that area... During the Civil War many for reasons left GA and went to other western states.
