"Nelson J. 'Jack' Harrell, 79, of Conway, passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 18, 1926, in Floyd, AR (White County), to the late William Louis and Heddie Blanche (Liles) Harrell.
He was an Army veteran of WW II, former owner and operator of Harrell's Imports Auto Repair Shop, and a Baptist. He was retired from Conway Public Schools after working several years as a custodian.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Eva M. 'Mary' (Worm) Harrell; their two sons, Mike Harrell and wife Jackie, and Bruce Harrell and wife Annette; their daughter, Lisa Hawkins and husband Britt, all of Conway; his daughter, Mary Nell Crass of Perryville, AR; three brothers, Elvis Harriell of Little Rock, Curtis Harrell of Rogers, AR, and Wayland Harrell of Beebe, AR; two sisters, Yvonne Southard of Rodney, AR, and Elvada Gunn of Minden, LA; five grandsons, Josh Harrell, Austin Harrell, Connor Harrell, Blake Hawkins, and Tanner Hawkins, all of Conway; and three step-granddaughters, Summer Anderson, Feleshia Hood, and Whitnie Hood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Hubert Harrell, Cleveland Harrell, and Glenn 'Walker' Harrell, and two sons, Larry N. Harrell and John R. Harrell.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Pastor Tim Kellerman officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Visitation is Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Steve Wiles, Monty Harrell, Steve Bailey, Daniel Bailey, and John Lovell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Art Worman, Cecil Pettus, and his grandsons.
Family and friends will be received at the home of Mike and Jackie Harrell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Faulkner County, P.O. Box 1055, Conway, AR 72033.
