Robert Harper founded Haprers Ferry, VA. His brother John Harper followed him to Maryland where two sons were born William & John,Jr. John Sr [1720-1793] m.#2 Margery Robinson. On his death in 1793 the oldest children whose mother remains unknown, William & John learned Margery had influenced her husband to forget William & John who each received legacy of 5lbs. They eventually left home. William moved Ross Co, OH and John, Jr. moved to NC. Mary Harper dau of William & Nancy Faris Harper
