Hello All:

Hope everything is going good with all of you. Well, we’re starting the countdown to the reunion. It is hard to believe that it is only just a short three months and a few days away. If you have not made room arrangements with the Holiday Inn, I encourage you to get them made ASAP as hotel space in this area is at a premium due to all of the construction at the local refineries and natural gas terminals. As a reminder, I’ve included a cut and paste of the original notification:

The event will be located at the Holiday Inn Park Central in Port Arthur, Texas. All Reunion events will take place at the hotel.

Arrangements have been made with the hotel for a special room rate ($106/night + tax, king or two doubles). In order to receive this discounted rate, you must call the hotel direct ( 409 724 5000) and inform the reservation desk that the reservation is for the Harlow Family Reunion. This rate will not be available should you use any other type of reservation format (web etc.). The special rate is available to you for the duration of your stay. In other words, should you check in on Friday and wish to stay in the area for a few additional days, the discounted rate will apply. Large and small suites are available at the standard rate of $179 and $169 (+ tax) respectively. The hotel provides a complementary full breakfast in the restaurant each morning.
A large meeting room will be available all day Saturday for our use as a central gathering place. Please bring your family photos and other related items so they may be displayed in the room during the day and evening. Soft drinks and snacks will be available during the day.
Saturday night the room will be set up for dinner. The dinner is being sponsored by some really nice folks in the family. That means that most of us will be eating free! You will have a choice of two meats plus all the trimmings including desert. A child's plate will be available for the kids. Additionally, we plan to have a cake & coffee available for the after-dinner gathering and visiting. The hotel is going to endeavor to offer the meeting room for our use on Friday, April 10 if it is available. The room comes with a screen and projector. So, maybe some of you may want to do a slide show of your family.
The hotel has requested final count of those attending by March 11, 2015. Please let me know prior to that date if you are coming and how many will be with you.
