I would like to have contact with anyone descended from or researching William Crawford and wife, Margaret Harkness. Margaret Harkness, born approximately 1826 in Sanquhar Parish, Dumfriesshire, was the daughter of Thomas Harkness and his wife, Anne Brown. She married William Milroy Crawford June 15, 1847 (announcement in the Wigtownshire Free Press). He was the son of John Crawford (1791-1848) and Jane Milroy (1790-1852), who are both buried in Wigtownshire. They lived in Penninghame Parish, Newton Stewart, Wigtown when their daughters, Jessie and Ann were born. They eventually moved to Australia. William, born in 1823 in Wigtownshire died in 1899 in South Australia. Margaret died in September 20, 1904 at Pinery, in South Australia.

The children of William Milroy Crawford and wife, Margaret Harkness were:

Jessie Milroy Crawford, born approximately 1849 in Wigtown. She married William Murdock McKenzie.

Ann Harkness Crawford, born approximately 1851 in Wigtown

Margaret Crawford (1856 - April 17, 1938) was born and died in South Australia. She died at Barton Terrace, North Adelaide. She married George Joshua Macklin (born in South Australia, died 1931 in South Australia). Their only daughter, Clarice Mary Macklin (1889 – 1986 in South Australia), married on June 21 to Hercules John Lyall Worthley (1885 - 1954). Clarice and John Worthley’s son was John Worthley (1926 - 2008).
