LIBERTY, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the
Simpson Memorial Home, West
LIBERTY.
Services are at
Nichols United Methodist Church. The Rev. Betsey Neipert will officiate. Burial will be at the
Nichols Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to
Nichols United Methodist Church or Amenity Hospice.
Mrs. Harder was born Sept. 10, 1918, in
Nichols, the daughter of J. Theodore and Grace Green
Neff. She married Lawrence G. Harder Oct. 1, 1942. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 2003.
She was employed at the
Muscatine County Extension
Service and the
Muscatine County ASCS office. She and her husband farmed south of West
LIBERTY. After retirement they spent many winters in
Mesa, Ariz.
She was a member of
Nichols United Methodist Church,
Cedar Valley Community Club and the Fortnightly Literary Society. She enjoyed painting and playing golf.
Survivors include three sisters, Ortha
Neff of
Iowa City, Marie
Jansen of West
LIBERTY and
Marcella Barnhart of Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers,
Merton, Ralph and Duane.
