Surnames: HARDER, PITT, LINDSEY, MACKEY, BLAIN, DYER, CHANDLER, CHAMBERS, AGEE, HOLT, LYNN, MORRIS, RODEN, WALLACE, DAVIS, MCDOWELL
James Harder born 2/21/1777 Hillsborough Orange Co. NC, son
of John Nicholas Harder and Mary Peery/Perry. Married Elizabeth Pitt born 1/6/1781 Edgecomb Co. NC, daughter of Henry Pitt and ?? Coleman???, 5/13/1804 at Sumner Co. Gallatin, TN.

Their daughter, Henrietta "Eritty", was born in Williamson Co>Co. TN 3/8/1807. Married Josiah Lindsey, born 4/5/1805 NC,
10/27/1823 at Lauderdale Co. Florence AL. Witnesses were
John N.P. Harder and Sally Lindsey with marriage performed
by David Lancaster.

James Harder was a primitive baptist minister and performed
a number of marriage in Lauderdale Co. before moving to MS
with the Lindsey's. James died 8/12/1841 at Itawamba Co. MS
and Elizabeth died 2/4/1868 Lee Co. MS.

Henrietta is the confirmed child of James and Elizabeth. I
suspect John N.P. Harder to be Henrietta's older brother, but have no confirmation. Also suspect Sally Lindseyto be
Josiah's sister.

If you are researching any of the Harder line, please contact me.

Hi, I am Frances Harder searching my line of Harders.
The Blain line is from my Grandmothers second husband Stan Blain a retired Canadian Postal Worker. My Harder line apparently all comes from Michigan area, The Hortons are also from Michigan area. My earliest ancestors that are traceable are Adam Harder, born May 1, 1792 married to Lucy Westover and then married to Catherine Graves Rowe. William Harder then a multitude of children.
If by chance we are all connected then let me know. A relative has sent me a duo tang of info with names and dates.

I'm also researaching the Harders. My grandfather was
Peter Harder he lived in Mapleton,IA around 1900-1910
Then moved to south Dakota.
He married a Gabriel Passick do not know the year.Probably
around 1900. I think that Volquart and Hans could have
been brother or related somehow.
