Mark,

Saw an Evan Harden in the Perry Co., Ohio census 1830, which would make him the right age or so and in the right place. I question two things, however:
1. He already seems to be married in that census, with a female reported between 20-30 and a boy under age 5.
Admittedly, this could be a first marriage that ended that year, allowing him to marry Maria Wolf in January of 1831. Their first child isn't born until 1834.
2. In subsequent censuses he is very clearly identified as Even Harden, Jr.

Any suggestions?
Thanks for your response.
Doug
