I found our Jesse R. "Jess" Hardin. He left NC, moved to south east Georgia, married, had children and moved on to Florida where his descendants now live. I've been in touch with them, though we have never met. Jesse Hardin, b. Mar 1837, Robeson Co., NC, d. probably before 1930 in Florida (or Georgia). Two wives: first was Martha Jenkins with whom he had five children. Second wife was Cortney Rogers with whom he had one daughter, Florence (Olen?).
