I see that many family trees here have listed Pittsylvania or Pittsylvania County, Virginia, as place of birth for Joseph Harbour (1773-1839). I'm just curious as to where that data comes from. The two most accessible references I've been able to find simply say "probably in Virginia" or "probably in Pennsylvania". I've only seen something as specific as Pittsylvania in these trees here...so I'm interested in where that data point comes from.

The two books below have been my primary resources. If there are other good ones available, I'd greatly a appreciate a point in the right direction.
