Many thanks Wendy. Turns out she married Thomas Coulthard, had a child. Were together in 1871 and Sarah had another child William but by 1881 she was with JR in Melmerby. Her 1st child was by then in Stanhope poor house but we don't know whether she just left Thomas or he died. All fascinating stuff; thanks again,
