I have obtained a full transcript of the obituary for Hugh Hanna, born 1759 (Northern Ireland) and died 1842 in Williamsburg County, SC.

My direct lineage to Hugh connects at least twice:
Margaret Hanna (1798-1871) from wife Sarah Burrows (1776-1807)
Joseph Franklin Hanna (1817-1891) from his later wife Elizabeth Barr (1782-1830)

This transcription is from the Winyah Observer, 3 Sep 1842, p3:

Died, at his residence in Williamsburg district in the neighborhood of Indiantown on the 7th of August Mr. Hugh Hanna, in the eighty third year of his age. The deceased was, in our district, we believe the last survivor of that noble band of patriots who fought, under Marion, in our Revolutionary struggle to burst the fetters of British tyranny - to redeem their country from political slavery and establish for themselves & posterity pure and religious liberty. Though at the commencement of the struggle he was a mere youth, he ardently engaged in the cause to his country, and continued, under all the vicissitudes of fortune, in her service to its close. He was in many of the battles fought and signalized himself by bravery and good conduct, in the mean time he received a wound by a musket ball. He delighted much to dwell on the incidents of our revolution and from his retentive memory could give a faithful portrait of the times, interspersed with many anecdotes illustrative of the patriotic spirit which actuated our fathers. When the war triumphantly closed, he returned to the walk of private life - engaged in agricultural pursuits, married and raised a large and respectable family. He was endowed with a strong vigorous mind, and though he only obtained the rudiments of an English education, he, by careful attention and extensive reading, was a very intelligent citizen. As a man he was affable and generous; a kind and affectionate father and husband - a humane master - a respectable citizen, a warm patriot, and we trust an humble christian.
