Trying determine the parents of Peter Hanger, born circa 1816 (died in 1898 in Douglas County, NE), married in 1845 to Charity Evans in Clinton County, MO. Family tradition and his own statements indicate that he was born in VA and his father's name was also Peter. His granddaughter states that his father (parents?) died when he was young and he was raised by his grandmother.
