Am tracing my wife's ancestry. She is descended from the Morgan County Georgia marriage of William S. Johnson and Martha Hammond (record shows Hammonds) on 13 November 1827.

Any help on placing William S. Johnson would be appreciated.

Believe Martha Hammond is a daughter of Thomas Hammond (b1777 Wilkes Co. NC) and Ann Allen.
