do a search for info I have put on other sites and other names message boards for clues to see if your cherokee Hamilton might connect to Shoeboots first wives fathers line somehow..... I am a Shoeboots once and a walker( probably they are walking-sticks/Leaning-wood's also) a few times . I don't know how exactly but behind my walkers is probably a Henry Hamilton.
what I don't know or remember now is what Shoeboots daughters with that 1stwife( pre- clarinda) , what name they may have been using to marry men with ... it most definitely wouldn't be Shoeboats because that name became popular when he was older. occunna/owl or turtle/salliecoogie/ salliecookie, and maybe even raven as that is a military position.
so many possibilities. mary- mary polly is still my best guess for her name ( the henry hamilton daughter)it is most likely. I do not know if any of her daughter or sons may have used the name hamilton instead of walker or owl or whatever ok..
