Peter-6 Hallock of Luzerne Co, PA (1779-183?) - Family Per Moses Vail Genealogy

Peter-6, Joshua-5, Peter-4, John-3, William-2, Peter-1 Hallock

Below is a copy of the excerpt of Peter and Lavina (Vail) Hallock from the Moses Vail Genealogy. Note there seems to be a problem with Lavina's age giving her availability to be mother of some of the older children.

Lavina appears as a widow in the 1850 census in Carbondale, Lackawanna, PA at age 60 = date of birth of 1790. That would mean she was 12 yrs old for the Vail Genealogy marriage date of 1802 and too young to have at least the oldest child. Census ages are notorious for being inaccurate. Her parents were married 10/11/1782. So, she could be born, say 1784, and be 18 years old in 1802. Due to the conflict with the census record age, this issue needs to have additional information.

The Moses Vail Genealogy compares to the presentation in the 1992 Hallock Addendum at PHa-2, but gives more details than the Hallock Addendum.
