Bill,

Have we corresponded before. I was struck by the name Green Hall in your posting. Here is my Hall family. with a Green b. 1812 in Johnston Co. NC.

Revolutionary Pension Request form from 1820 (Johnston Co. NC) identifies JAMES HALL as having been born in 1757. It is difficult to read but he may have enlisted in the Patriot cause in Wake Co. NC or Johnston Co. NC and served several tours in the American militia or line. Apparently he died in 1821, about a year after the pension was approved. His wife is identified as EDEA DELK HALL daughter of Jacob Delk. EDEA died in 1848.

His children are shown as:
Sally b. 1787
Mary b. 1789
Susanna b. 1793
James b. 1795
Edea b. 1797
John b. 1799
Rachel b. 1802
Reddick/Riddick b. 1805
Beda b. 1808
Green b. 1812

1820 Johnston Co. NC census
Hall James 1 1 0 0 0 1 - 0 0 0 0 1
M1-10years = 1
M10-15 years = 1
M45+ = 1
F45+ = 1

In 1853 Reddick/Riddick/Redick and Green Hall filed papers with a court in Georgia (county not legible) about the pension. Apparently they had moved from Johnston Co. NC to Georgia. They said they were the only surviving children of their parents, but that doesn't seem possible to me.

This family is linked to my ZILPHA (possibly EDEA but went by ZILPHA, child of James Hall) HALL(b.1797-2000) who married ALSEY PACE in Johnston Co NC in 1820. In the 1820 Johnston Co. NC census, an Alsey Pace and a James Hall lived close to one another.
