Classification: Death
Surnames: Hall, Gregory
I have no connection to this family, but found this while doing other research. This appeared in the Aug. 4, 1885 issue of the Rockland (Maine) Courier Gazette in the Men and Women column:

“Walter S. Hall, whose death occurred Saturday morning at 2:30 o’clock, was widely known in our city where he has lived for the past dozen years, coming here from East Boston where he had been engaged in the coal business. He was the son of the late Samuel Hall, one of the foremost and wealthiest citizens of East Boston. In 1865 he married Mary Gregory of this city, who survives him, together with three children. Mr. Hall was a more than excellent gentleman and vastly liked by an extensive circle of friends. For several years he had been a great sufferer from rheumatism, and it was the developing of that disease about the heart that finally but suddenly caused his death.. Mr. Hall had been looking forward with impatience to returning this fall with his family to East Boston, there to take up their permanent residence.”
