Hi Chris, I don't know if its the same fred or not. I had a cousin named fred haisch.He was from detroit and his father was charles and mother dorothy.he was working carnivals the last time I saw him.when I was little he would always buy me a candy bar if I walked to his bus stop.

Julius came to UK from Hofgeismar in Germany and was born abt 1856 he married my Gt. Grandmother in 1886, his father's name was Charles.

Can anyone shed any light on his early years and possible siblings?

Thanks for posting! Winifred Nied was one of my great aunts. Her maiden name was Adalphine Cloeren and she took the name "Winifred Nied" when she married Charles Nied in 1901. Charles died in 1912. They had one son, also named Charles, born circa 1903. As son Charles is orphaned by 1920 and I can't seem to find any later records for William G. and Winifred Haisch after William's 1918 draft registration card, I can only assume that they passed away between 1918 and 1920. Thanks again for posting this information!

by any chance do you know if any family members were from the dekalb area in Il?? any of these names mentioned--Harley,Louis,Willard,Jacob(he had no children)My husband is a haish(at one time haisch) thanks for any info that you might have.

I have a family tree, in book form, written about the family Haisch . I t was written in 1931 by Manfred Haisch in Pforzheim Germany, my father tried to keep it current by hand. However, the additions only reflects family we know/ knew after about 1955. There are a number of family members living in Stuttgart and if you know more about your family I may can help you a little. My name is Haish, my great grand fater dropped the C in late 1800's to make it simpler.

DAVID- Thank you for responding- my great-grandfather's name was Karl Haisch (I believe). I wonder if we are related. My father, Bernhard Haisch and my uncle Klaus D. Haisch, moved to Indiana from Stuttgart after WW II with their parents Gertrude (maiden name Dambacher) and Wilhelm F. Haisch. Gertrude's sister, Enalie had moved out already with her husband Heinz. My father and uncle have since relocated to California where they now live outside of San Francisco. I live in West Hollywood, California. Do any of these names ring a bell? I did visit some "long lost cousins" in Stuttgart in 1991... Perhaps you were one! I do not know much about the Haisch side of our family being as how most of our relatives are in Stuttgart and we are not in touch. Any if you have would be appreciated! Thank you! Danke!

My grandparents are from the Muhlhausen area of the city. Currently I have several cousins including one that is a famous artist in Europe. They live in the home my grandfather Karl Haisch was born in. If you visit the cemetary in this section of the city you will see many Haisch gravestones,

So Sorry, my relatives didn't keep in contact with German relatives ..But I found my husband's grandparents name in the "Germans to America" containing 39 volumns of German ships and their passengers list, by Ira A. Glazier and P. William Filby. It gave the name of the ship and other information on the ships.
Each volumn consist of every year at 6 mos. intervals.
I found it at my local library in the genealogy self.

Hi Jack and Kathy, Aunt was Minnie not Mimi,Also Aunt Emma,Uncle Albert was bets,Uncle Charles and Walter and Ernest.I did read in a geneology book about A Hans Haisch on a ship from wurtenburg(probably misspelled) I know a lot of the family came from there.Grandfathers name wasn't William I dont think...I can't say for sure but for some reason I think it was Walter also

I believe there was a Jacob Friederich Haisch, born in June 1829, in Wildbad, Wuerttemberg, who emmigrated to America. I found this information in the Wildbad Evangelisch Church Records.

RE two brothers - There was an Andreas and a Ludwald HAISCHER who came to the US on the Judah Laura arriving in NY Sept 19, 1849. Andreas went to Michigan. Andreas was from Rottweil Germany. I have some info on his family.

Margo, My wife had an Uncle Carl HAISCHER who was the son of Francis Carl. Have info on this family.

I don't know if this is pertinant, but, from the book, Pennsylvania German Immigrants, edited by Don Yoder, Hans Jerg Haisch arrived at Penn. on the ship "Chesterfield" Sept. 2, 1749. He was from Steinenbronn, Wuerttemberg. He was b. 2-6-1718 and was with his wife, Catherine Hanselmann b.11-15-1721. My ancestors, Jacob Metzger and Barbara Dast Metzger, with thir small child, Jacob, were on the same ship. George Haisch was shown to be in Conestoga Twp., Lancaster Co., PA 1771.

I do not beleive we are related or that we know about your father-in-law. Our grandparents were from or born in Leinfelden, Germany and immigrated to Fremont, Neb. in 1881.
