Heinrich Heine did not, himself, have children. However he had brothers and sisters who did have families, and all of us who are related to him are descendents of his neices and nephews. I am the third generation on that side of my family to be born in the US, and my son is the fourth generation here. Still there is a connection that we all share as Heine descendents.
