Valentin Hain (a carpenter) was born about 1811 and came from Neustadt, Hohenroth, Rhein-Bayern, Bavaria around 1850-1852. Also immigrating were his wife, Margaret (Endres), and children; twins Michael and Lorenz (b. approx. 1829), Franz Michael (also known as Frank, b. approx. 1839), Emmerencia (b. approx. 1843), Margaret (b. approx. 1846), and Katharina (b. approx. 1848).
