Heather and I have been privately corresponding. After her father (my brother, David Wayne) died in 1989 we lost contact with Heather's mother. I am posting a reply here in the hopes that someone can get us information about our family, past and present. My father was Charles William Hagler. His father was C. P. (Charlie) Hagler, who married Bessie Clay. Charlie and Bessie had five children: A. G.; Dorothy "Dot;" Edith "Monk;" Betty (Elizabeth?) and Charles William "Bill." Bessie had a daughter from a previous marriage, Louise. Louise had a daughter named Elizabeth Louise "Libby Lou" George.
Bill (my father) was killed in an auto accident in 1965. Dot married Bill McGowan. Edith married "Buck" Bowlin. Betty married Unknown Herrin. There has been no contact with the Hagler family since 1966. The Haglers lived in and around Charlotte, NC. We would really appreciate any help in tracing the family
