Michael, we have HAGANS family members who were in Illinois at the time your Eliza was born there (1831). Do you have any other info on her? Will try to help you if I can.

John Hagans came to America prior to the Rev. war, served in a NJ militia unit under Geo. Wash.
Then moved to Botetonet Co., Virginia. Had several children, 3 sons; John,William and my line was James he moved to Ohio, then Ill, and then to near Greenville, Ind. His son was Richard, and his son was John Morris Hagans.
Besides the 3 boys he had 6 girls; Mary,Margarett, Elizabeth, Melly, Nancy, and Martha. Eliz was born 3-7-1835.
She went by Eli, and married maybe a Radcliff? The family history was copied from a family bible in the late 1800s.
The writer expected the reader to ref. to the old bible, which I've never seen. The original paper I have is hard to read.
