JOHN HAGANS, b. abt. 1790 Virginia, (d. abt. 1845) Ohio m. in 1816 VA to SARAH COON, b. abt. 1788 VA (d. 1859 Ohio). Their son was John D. Hagans.

JOHN D. HAGANS (son of John and Sarah COON HAGANS, above)was b. March 1833 in Ross Co. Ohio. In February 1854 in Ohio he m. MARGARET HAYES/HAYS, who was b. in 1839 Ohio.

John D. and Margaret HAGANS were living in Piketon, Pike Co., Ohio at the time of the 1860 and 1870 census. The following names are their children, with approximate dates of birth, taken from the 1860 and 1870 census records.
