Gyure family -- Hungarian roots
My grandfather, Benjamin Gyure came to US via Canada in late 1800's/early 1900's. He married in Chicago Illinois I think. Had 3 children. Wife and children died. Somehow he ended up in New Jersey and married my grandmother, Elizabeth Kajla, who also came to US from Hungary in early 1900's. They lived in NJ in Carteret. Had a daugher, Julie, a son Benjamin who died at four years old, and my father, Ernest Gyure. My grandfather died when my dad was four years old. Would like to talk to anyone with Gyure name.

I don't think we are related, but my grandparents are from Hungary and came to U.S. in early 1900's. I would like to just explore my heritage as an Hungarian. My dad, Ernest, was born in U.S. My Grandfather, Benjamin Gyure died when my dad was four. My grandmother, Elizabeth Kajla Gyure came to U.S. in early 1900's and she died in 1971. I knew her but was too young to appreciate my heritage or had the wherewithall to explore. Would like to talk to a fellow Hungarian. Unfortunately, I don't speak the language, just English.

My great-grandmother was Szuzsanna (Susie) Krajnyik (nee Gyure.) She was from Ung County, Hungary also but from Vajan. She came to the U.S. in 1888 as far as I know. She had a brother, Janos, who came to the U.S. in 1890 and a sister Julia Stefan who stayed in Hungary. Let me know if you think there's a connection.
