William Oscar Gyger was my grandfather. He died in 1933 or 1934 while my grandmother Daisy Ellen (Montgomery) Gyger was pregnant with her 9th child. They were living in Puxico, Missouri at the time. My uncle Ervin Gyger (one of the nine children) passed away in the early hours of this morning, leaving 3 of the 9 now living, my mom included. I see you posted your message in 1998. Sorry it took me so long to find it.

I am the granddaughter of William Oscar Gyger and Daisy Ellen (Montgomery). The daughter of their last child, Willie E. Gyger of Puxico, MO. I recently came across this web site and saw your message. I am sad to report our family just lost Ervin Gyger leaving only 3 of William and Daisys' children left, one is my mother. I hope you can use this info. We live in Augusta, Ga now.

Larkin Gyger was the uncle of George Gyger who was the father of William Franklin Gyger. Larkin wound up in Texas, and served as a guard at Camp Ford, a POW camp located near Tyler, Texas. In late April 1865 he was arrested for allowing prisoners to escape, and it was reported that at least one was a nephew. I am trying to identify what relatives he had that would have been Union POWs. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated

I believe William F Gyger was Wiley Gyger's brother and Wiley Gyger was the father of Charles H Gyger which is my husbands grandfather. Dennis Gyger. I have William born in
Lawrence Ind and died 2/4/2907 in Carroll Ill. If you have other information it would be appreciated or I may have something you need. I believe he would be a GG uncle to my husband.
