Gygers in Illinois Late 1800's-Early 1900's

Okay, I'm getting pretty desperate in my Gyger research.

I have a copy of an article from a Bureau Co., IL paper from around 1898-1900 that states my GGGrandfather, John Charles Gyger, went to Chicago to meet his sister, who came over from Switzerland. John was born in 1836, so I am guess-timating his sister would be somewhere around late 50's or so at the time of the article. I find no reference to her name or if she was going to stay in the United States. Anyone have such a lady in their tree?

SECONDLY - One member of my tree, Edwin Gyger, died in 1896. He had a son, who was later identified as Leslie E. Gyger. Someone was nice enough on another Board to find Leslie in the 1900 Census living with his Grandmother - Phebe Olmstead in Neponset, Bureau Co., IL. Phebe died before the 1910 Census and I can't find anything more about Leslie E. Gyger. Anyone out there have any ideas? Could he have possibly moved in with another Gyger Family? I know Alfred and his wife, Mabel, lived in the Chicago area in their later years.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

I need to make a correction.... The paper I referred to in the original post was the Bureau County Republican and the date was Thursday, April 6, 1882. The exact snippet in the paper reads,
"J.C. Gyger went to Chicago last week to meet his sister just arrived from Switzerland, whom he had not seen for 30 years. When he last saw her she was only seven years old. Miss Gyger will remain here for the future."

J.C. would be my gggrandfather, John Charles Gyger. So, I'm looking for a 37 year old female Gyger (maybe - who knows if she was actually married at the time or not?) that may have been living in the Chicago area, since there is no record of her living in the Bureau County, IL area, where her brother lived.

Thanks for any and all help.
