Do any of the names indicated on my post connect in any way with your Gwythers?

Hello Gene, Do you know anything more about your Mary Gwyther born abt 1790? Parents? Location? Siblings? Thank you!

Hi William,
I have found Gwythers in my family tree. John Gwyther who I think married Lettice (Davis) which could be seen as Davies as the records were sketchy along with some of the hand writing.
John Gwyther and Lettice had a son William John born 1801 who married Mary?. From that time on the name Gwyther was removed and replaced by John as the surname and who would know why??
William John son James John married Martha Medlicott 1949 Wales and migrated as free passengers with 2 small children to Tasmania in 1855 - they ended up with 11 children.
Don't know if you can shed any light on the family, but thought I would ask anyway.
Always a twist and a turn with family trees, but it keeps you interested.
Cheers,
Barb
