Greetings!..see email to you...
It appears that our familes have come from or have connections with Ireland then over to North Wales then travelling all over the Bristish isles and settleing down in
South Wales as well as Midland (England),then over to the
USA and Canada...There is about 21 different spellings of our name some to bad translations both verbally and written and some parts of the family have dropped the "G" and deny having any connections yet claim having Button Gwinnett as
a member of their branch..sheesh!!!!...

I noticed your post about Gwinnett/Gwinnutt in the Dudley/Tipton area. My research is in the Dudley / Tipton area, and I have Elizabeth Gwinnett/Gwinnutt (whichever spelling is accurate) married to James Bayley. According to their marriage certificate, her father was Benjamin Gwinnutt.

ANy connection?

Hello Lisa,

I am not sure of any connection as I have been unable to trace Sarah any further back, but if you can tell me the dates for the people name here then I can do some more digging to see. There are a number of Gwinnutt/nett in the Tipton Dudley area around 1850-1860 so I think that there is a possibility.

Yours Miriam Abbott

My Grandmother, Viola Maude and her Brother, Edward Gwinnell were born in New Haven, CT in the late 1880's. Later Edward and family moved to NJ. Could we be related?
