Hello,

Thank you for your contact, however I am afraid I do not at present have any details on the person you mention. Possibly related far back but not in my information as yet. Will keep it in mind if anything turns up will let you know.

I have only just joined but I have information that might be useful, your Grandfather was a brother to my Grandfather Robert James Gwillim(1892-1941). I have a family tree drawn up some years ago, it goes back to our G-G-G-Great Grandfather John Gwillm from Sunny Bank, Longtown, Herefordshire died 1798. Give me a week or 2 and I will have put a lot more into my family tree which as your Grandfather was my Great Uncle should provide a lot of information for you.

Hello Neil,

Only just seen your post, good to hear from another member of this family. You mention an old Family Tree that you have a copy of, can I ask is a hand written one on a single sheet of A4. If so I may well have the same one which was done by Jenny Houston. If you let me know your email address I'll send it over for you to look at.

Can I also ask did your parents live in the cottages on the left of the lane on the way up to Llanthony? I seem to remember someone up at Llanthony telling me some years ago that there were Gwillim's living there at the time.

My father remembers Eric well.

Would be great to keep in touch and be able to share our information.

I realise this thread is years old now, but I wondered if perhaps you know the year of death for each of the six children Thomas and Sarah had?

Hello,
Just picked up your message about Dinah Gwillim and James Farr. I guess you may have also seen my Tree on Ancestry.Co.UK?
It is great to have contact with another member of the family and to see how we have all spread out across the world. I live in the UK in South Wales in a town called Cwmbran which is approximately 18 miles outside of Cardiff our Capital.
Llanthony Court Farm where Robert Gwillim (1819 - 1890) Dinah's father was living at the time of her birth is approximately 30 miles away, we have visited the area many times over the years.
Dinah Gwillim (1852 - 1907) from my record shows she married James Farr (1851 - ) at St Davids Church Llanthony, Monmouthshire on 19th April 1876. However I have not expanded this part of my tree, so would welcome any information you are willing to share. Also if there is anything you would like from me which is of interest I am more than willing to share with you.
I also have a number of other trees which have been put together by various other members of the family, I do not necessarily know who. However looking over them there is certain information I know not to be correct, so I am unwilling to add this to my tree until I can confirm details for myself. Both these trees do have some information on Dinah and James but not a great deal.
Looking forward to further contact.
If you wish to contact me directly my email address is as follows: robertgwillim@sky.com

Best Regards

Robert Michael Gwillim
