Hi, I'm not too sure about this message board either but here goes. I don't remember what my Aunt Doris maiden name was but she was my God Mother. If this is the same Doris as your Mom then your Dad was my mother's brother. I grew up in Farmingdale and my Aunt & Uncle lived in Hicksville - Does this sound familiar to you??
let me know

Hi Gregory - I realize this is a stretch but genealogist will grasp at any straw (momentarily anyway) - I have been researching my great-grandmother - Hazel Marie Quester - she married numerous times and died with the surname Quester. Someone emailed me the other day that this surname was "Gwiazda" but some families changed it in about the 1920's. The pronunciation is actually similar - Have you ever heard of this explanation? I'm emailing you as she lived a lot of her life in the Chicago area actually passing away at the Dells - Please let me know if you can shed any light on this for me - I can't wait to hear from you -
