Jodie,
Which William Henry GWATKIN is your great grandfather? There are at least two that I am aware of. They are of different generations but have the same common ancestry.

1. William Henry GWATKIN born 1894 to Benjamin Saunders GWATKIN and Emma TWISSELL, married Gertrude.

2. William Henry GWATKIN born about 1863 to Thomas GWATKIN and Ann SAUNDERS, married 1889 to Annie Eliza SAIES.

Yes, I would be interested in the full tree you have dating back to 1580. Does it include sources of where the names and details were found? Send it to me at ratbaker (use the at symbol)juno.com

You may be interested in looking at the GWATKIN One-Name Study as found at http://treesandstars.com/Gwatkin and perhaps even contributing to it. A few of the certificates for births, marriages, and deaths of GWATKIN individuals I am most closely related to are included there.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jodie,

My great grand father James Charles Gwatkin the older brother of William Henry. I would be interested in your family tree as I have been trying to piece together the Gwatkin family back before Matthew Gwatkin (James' and William's great grand father).

I have a family tree given to my family in about 1967 at a family reunion in London. I believe William had 4 children, William George (who married Dorothy and had 6 children), Dorothy Martha (I have no infomation on her), Constance Edith (I believe she died young) and John Canavan William ( again little information).

It would be nice to know more about your branch of the family.

Hello I have come across Arthur James Gwatkin in my tree.
I had Mary Ann Monk down as Mary Ann Plant and am getting confused. Perhaps she was married twice? Her mother seems to appear in some of the census returns. If you have more information I would be interested. Didn't know that part of Gwatkin family worked for the railways. Most of my Gwatkin family come from Bishopswood, Walford, Goodrich, Ross on Wye.
