Allen,
Thank You for replying to my post. I am not sure which Edmond is my direct ancestor. I do know that my Edmond married Emmaline Williams and had atleast one child name Mary Jane Evans (who married Elijah Parker). I am quessing that the dates for him would be the early to mid 1800's. I am trying to find any and all information about him as he is my GG Grandfather. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance
RT

It would help if you will be more specific about what you know. I assume that if Edmond Evans that married Emmaline Williams is your GG grandfather, are you saying that you are off of his daughter Mary Jane Evans that m. Elijah Parker is your g-grandmother? If so, do you have a marriage date and place of marriage for them? Do you have any information that any of the above were in Pitt Co, N C. Have you looked for them in census records? Do you have death dates for Edmond and Emmaline Evans? Where were they when they died. Can you give me info that ties anyone to Pitt Co, N C? Was your grandmother a Parker and where were they living? I would like to help you, but you can see from my questions that it is necessary to have info before looking for more. I am related to most of the Evans family in Pitt Co, N C and if you have roots here, I probably can help you. What records do you have to tie back here in Pitt Co., N C. Our marriage records are pretty good after 1867.

I sent you info but it must not have reached you. My address is 2708 Jackson Dr, Greenville N C 27858. Perhaps we can correspond and get better results than we are currently doing in sharing information. I sent a message to you on May 23, 2000 and used e-mail rothomas@mindspring.com. Something must be wrong in the address that I used. If it is not correct, please let me know.

I descend from Edmond EVANS who married Abscilla CARROLL thru his son Peter AND his daughter Martha (ie Patsey)....

I'm looking for information that verifies that he was in the war of 1812. Someone told me they had seen him listed in a Roster book, but I cannot locate anything.

Try this link.

http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&d...

Start with Alonzo (my Grandfather)and work back through several generations to Edmond Evans. I think it indicates he was in the War of 1812 Second Regiment, Pitt County.

This indicates marrige to Absaly Carroll, not Abscilla, if I am reading it correctly.
