Well, I am most excited about your response to my posting!! I pulled out my research & looked at the comparison between what you posted & what I know for fact...it does appear that you and I are cousins. Here is the information that I have that makes this connection so positive:

Edward Agustus Guyentte was born 1870 and died 1945. He married Ada Isabella Dark in England. She was born 1871, and died 1949.

NOTE: Edward came across on the last sailing of the "Aquatania"

Children of Edward Guyenette & Ada Dark are;
1. Lilian Violet Guyenette, b. July 23, 1896; d. November 19, 1980, in ON, Canada. Interned @ Groveside Cemetery, Brooklyn, ON, Canada.

2. Steven Guyenette

3. Winifred Faustina Guyenette

4. May Alexandria Guyenette
***************************************
---> My great grand-mother was Lilian Violet Guyenette & a wonderful woman she was. I knew her personally. She married Alfred Thomas Woodroffe on December 25, 1915.

Many details are documented in my collection of research & supported by many original documents & family journals.

---> Steven Guyenette married Ella Williams.
Steven was a Sergant Major.
They had 2 children: John & Jean Guyenette

Further information is unknown at this time.

---> Winifred Faustina married to Richard Keeble & they had 2 child: Donald & Maurice Keeble.

---> May Alexandra Guyenette married John Mosely Bull.
Last known location was Australia.

Children of May & John are:
1 Lionel Bull
2 Brian Bull
3 Ivan Bull
4 Avril Bull

I do believe that this information is a direct match to what you were telling me. If this is concrete enough, we need to communicate & share what we have to help preserve the family genealogy. Further, I am so happy to have found yet another true cousin & wish to correspond frequently.

Thank you for the exciting posting of this most wonderful news. I was truly at another brick wall with this surname. My father's mother will be so delighted to know that she has family out there. When her parents came to Canada from England, they lost all contact with the other Guyenette siblings.

Sincerly delighted to meet you:
Kim

Kim, I am contacting you following a quite accidental visit on the internet where I last week found this site. I am Lloyd Guyenette living in south of England. My father was George William Guyenette who was born 1900 in London and was killed in the Royal Navy during the last war. My Grandfather was also George William born 1873 in London married to Rose Trigg.I notice you have not posted since 2003, and your email tiggers6 did not accept the mail I sent. I hope all is well. If you receive this post please contact me. Regards Lloyd

Hello Lloyd, how very nice to hear from you. First, my e-mail had to change due to ISP changes. You can reach me at simply_tiggerific@yahoo.ca now. As soon as I figure out how to change that so it sticks to Ancestry, I will do so.

I think we need to make contact and share some information. I would love to fill in some of the details for the Guyenette surname while my Grandmother is still alive. She is so much in the dark about her family, having moved to Canada when she was a young teen, she didn't get to know her Aunts and Uncles much and has now forgotten about them.

I have a Yahoo group for researching members of this surname as well. You can find it here: http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/woodroffe_guyentte/?yguid=2... My intention is to have one place to post all information that we can share together as a "family" in one place.

Talk soon! Thanks so much.
Kim

Hi John;

I need to clarify where to put you in the tree. I have the listing as Edward, you say Edwin. I am sure you are most correct, but this leads me to not know where you belong in here.

I don't have a listing for Ellaline Beatrice at all, so this makes it confusing for me. Gee, how I wish my grandparents had better records. Makes me wonder if there is a second marriage for Edward Guyenette after Ada Isabella Dark.

Can you help please? I am also in contact with Llyod in Australia and he is in contact with Brian Bull. Some details would be wonderful and very helpful to us all.
