PLEASE help. My husbands ancestor John Webster Guy served in the CEF ( Canadian Expeditionary Force) in WW1. He was part of the 151 battalion, Regiment 625038.

Now here's what I know:
- He joined Feb 1916
- Left Canada Oct 1916
- Arrived in England Oct 1916
*The 151st battalion was absorbed in the 9th, 11th and 21st reserve battalions once they arrived in Europe.
- Back to Canada March 1919

He was gone to war for just over 3 YEARS. But once in Europe his battalion was absorbed, and that's where I lose the trail. What happened to him for 3 years? Where did he go? Did he see any battles?

I have his attestation papers, but can't find discharge orders. If anyone out there in the cyber genealogy world knows anything about these soldiers, please help!
