Hello Wendy and Kitty,
It's great to see your posts on the message board. I've been researching the GUNDELFINGERs, along with my research partner in Germany, for over 30 years. We've traced the two Protestant family lines, one back to the 1300's and the other to the 1600's, and have traced all the immigrant Gundelfingers here in the US. I can probably answer just about any question you may have. Please get in touch either via the message board, or to kelley805@aol.com

Surnames: schwabacher, gundelfinger
I have recently found a Gundelfinger in my family tree. Her name was Fanny and she married Louis H. Schwabacher. I don't know much more about her as I just discovered this yesterday. If this sounds familiar to you, please email me @ ericasf@comcast.net.

I believe your Fanny Gundelfinger may have been the daughter of Max and Sarah Gundelfinger. Fanny was born in 1873 in IN. Max was born in Bavaria in 1848 and was in the clothing business. Sarah was born in Manchester, England in 1851. They had another child, a son, Benno born 1875. This family was from the Jewish line of Gundelfingers and settled originally in Indiana. I have not done extensive research on this line, but if you give me some dates of birth etc. I might beable to confirm this information. kelley805@aol.com
