I am not sure about John. But my Grandfather Walter Gula made several trips to Polad when I was younger. I always thought he went to visit family.

His father was Peter Gula.

What tombstone do you have with John Gula & Maria Prupa. Can you provide the birth/death dates & location of burial?

My ggf John Gulla emigrated from Krajna Bysztra near the Slovak/Poland border near the Dukla pass. I am aware that he possibly had contacts with family/friends in the possibly Hazleton/Northeast PA area. In fact my great-aunt married a George Ursta who emigrated [1912] to Beaver Meadows who we in the family have not been able to determine his village of origin in Slovakia nor his entry to the US. ?as to how she came to meet him since my Gulla family lived in Sharon PA. You can contact me at myfluffeve@aol.com. [Eveline]
