Emma Lee Guice (Alabama)

Surnames: Guice
Does anyone have any information on Emma Lee Guice who married Henry McClaney in Alabama in the late 1800s? She lived in Union Springs, AL at some point. Some of her childrens names were Richard McClaney and Snora McClaney.

It has been said that her father was a white man who owned a grocery store and had several "mulatto" children, but I cannot find any information on who this might be.

Thank you

hi, emma. i'm sandy. i have to dig out my guice ref book to see if i can find her and let you know. my 1st great grandmother died shortly after he was born. he was put into the hand of one of the guice neighbors or relatives for a while. i found him there when i did a search on just him. and there he was in a census. i don't remember now if he showed up in hints. if he didn't, i found him via search in ancestry. as your guice was past to an aunt, her married name might not guice ... unless she married another guice. give it a try while i am look for my guice book.
