Mike:

I am researching the Gufficks and my ancestors come from a small village near Pickering - we are definetly related. I have traced some of the family movements from Pickering to York and to Hartlepool (where I am living).
I have traced family back to 1794

Must get in touch

My Grandfathers name was Norman Guffick who belonged to Pickering when he was a boy, and later in life moved to Scotland. We think he had a cousin called Reginald or Reggie and would love to hear from you.

Dear Michael

Must have some time on my hands cos I have been clearing drawers and found your letter which mum had passed on and I had mislaid. So I haven't any news about ancestors but just wanted to say that I have at last googled you!

Mum and I went to Rhodes in July. She had a good time but it was a bit hot for her. She is going strong thank goodness but I suppose discoing in the heat at 81 is a bit much sometimes.

Our youngest son is in Venezuela an is due back in a week's time. Can't wait to see him and hear all the tales he will have to tell. Internet is fantastic because otherwise I would be demented not knowing what he was doing - don't worry I do realise I only know what he wants me to know!

Anyway, I will resume my googling.

Best wishes.

Lynne
