I've only begun researching my family tree about a month now. My great-grandmother, Virginia Ann (Anne?) GUIDRY has me stumped. I believe that she was born around 1873-1916 or 1917. She married Edward Fenwick MORGAN. He is from Louisiana, so I beleive she is too. That is all the info I have and cannot find her parents or actual birth and death dates. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please feel free to email me: namorgan@earthlink.net

Thanks so much,
Natalie Morgan

Hi Natalie,
You may want to check into the Labine message boards. The original name for Labine is Guidry, Guedry. What a puzzle you take on when you get into this geneology thing, huh? But once you start you can't stop. Good Luck.

Dear Natalie,

Just for fun, I thought I'd relax by doing a little family research. You have mentioned that you are beginning to research your family tree. It was interesting and fun to discover that you are interested in learning more about my father's mother and father. My sweet father, Benjamin T. Morgan, Sr. flew to heaven, I am sure, in the arms of the Blessed Virgin Mary on The 16 of February, 2000 at the age of 92. Virginia, his mother, died and Edward Fenwick married a school teacher named Sadie Wallis. Initially, the siblings were placed with Virginia's sisters but my father took it upon himself to take the train back to Gibson, Louisiana (a small town several miles from Morgan City).
Many years ago, I had begun research but had to put it on the shelf because it was so much fun and so intense. However, from time to time, I find it relaxing to "hunt" for family tidbits.

Good luck with your research.

Your very distant cousin,

Vikki

My father, Ben, was the last of Virginia and Edward's children.

There are three surviving half-brothers living from Edward Fenwick Morgan's last marriage.
