I discovered that this tree contains info from my tree on ancestors. I have no membership on Ancestry so I cannot contact the owner of "Michael Gue Family Tree" which is mgue189. Could someone please contact this person and let them know I'd like to get in touch with them. I'd like to know how they are related and exchange info. They can contact me at maccole73@hotmail.com . Many thanks.

I am sorry to inform you that to the best of my knowledge mgue 189 has passed away. A few years ago Mike Gue had invited me to share his tree and at the time, I didn't understand what an honor that was and I didn't formally accept his offer. This past February, I had a better understanding of sharing trees so I contacted his tree in hopes of communicating w/ him. When I viewed the tree, I was overwhelmed to discover that he was listed as deceased. The date listed was in February only a few weeks before I attempted to contact him. I knew of no one to confirm his death but it appeared that his family had left his tree available for others to see. He had very extensive info about the Gue's and he had been willing to answer questions. Unfortunately I fear that we all missed the opportunity to learn more from his extensive knowledge and to express appreciation to him for all that he put together. If you learn anything more about Mike, please share it with me--I'd be delighted to learn that I misunderstood the info on his tree but I don't think that is possible. Thank you, Cantoncovers@hotmail.com

I thought that at one time I had access to his tree. Or rather I did have access to one of his trees, though I'm not sure if it was on Ancestry or not. I know that at this time I do not have access to his Ancestry tree.

I talked to him on the phone once or twice and he was my age, mid-late 30s and had a couple of children. He told me he was sick but I never knew he had died.

I tried looking for his email, but have not found the one where he gave me access to his tree so I will have to search to see if it is here on Ancestry, which I no longer have access to, or on another site.

There is a book on the Gue family of Maryland of which I have if you have any questions. I'm not sure how different the information has/had that Mike had. I do remember the information that he had didn't really do much for my family even though we were related.

I appreciate the info you shared about Mike Gue. I had contacted him thru Ancestry.

Also, thanks for offering to answer questions about the MD. Gues but I think it would be easier if I had my own book to reference.

Do you know how I could get a copy of the book that you mentioned about the Maryland Gues? Please provide info. I am not familiar with it.

Have you ever heard of a book about the Penn. or the Ohio Gues? We traveled to Fayette Co, PA a few times and that was really helpful. I am from Ohio so family info has been a help here, but having a book would be wonderful.

Please let me know if you find out anything more about Mike.
Thank you so much. Also, if you live near a library w/ a genealogy department, they may have a computer w/ an ancestry connection that's available to the public. We have one here in Canton that is set up that way. It was a big help to me when I wasn't on ancestry.

The Gue book is called Our Maryland Heritage, Book 19: The Bowman and Gue Families. It can be found at http://www.heritagebooks.com/ though if you can find the book at the library it's probably best to view it that way as there's not a whole lot of information in it.

I'm trying to contact someone with regard to the Redfern line.

I'm wondering about the dates for Isaac Redfern and Sarah James Redfern (both listed as passing in 1950). How do you know those dates?

Sarah's child David D. is in our direct line.

Do you know where Sarah and Isaac are buried? I believe I just found out that Sarah's first husband is buried in Brookfield, Trumbull, Ohio with his parents.

Thank you for any help!
