Hello to anyone who is reading this, I just found this site and I was wondering if anyone with the same last name as mine would be knid enough to email me at yupsm@email.com. I just find it weird that there are others out there with my last name. I know this is a US site, however I am from Canada so if anyone wants to, email me.

Hi my name is francesca and I live in toronto, Canada. From what i know the name Guccione originated in Italy but it might be useful to know that many italian immigrants came to montreal, Quebec (canada) in the late 19th and early 20th century and many changed their names when they arrived here. You should try to find out who was the first person in your family to live in canada, they may have come over from italy. I hope this helps, if you need anymore help let me know.

the best answer I can come up with is to either contact the records derpartment of the place where your grandparents, parents, etc lived to find out if they were born there or arrived as immigrants. There should be a record of when they came and where they lived. The other suggestion would be to contact any old friends of the family if there are any and ask them to give any info available, however the first suggestion would work better since the government has records on everyone.

Best of luck ,francesca.

Hello Francesca,
Have you ever met an Australian Guccione? Now you have! I'm in Melbourne Australia, my grandparents came from Vizzini in Sicily in the early 1940's. My grandfather was Antonio, great aunt was Giovanna, and another is Lilla, who is here in Australia. Anyway nice to meet you, there are only 14 Guccione's in the phone book here so apart from Bob Guccione, no-one else has heard of another one here!
