We have the Guccione name all over the world...from what I could find out the name originated back in 1400 from a nobleman in Florence but then migrated down to calabria and sicily as time when on..if you want more information..e-mail back..

My father's Dad comes from Vizzini and my Dad came to see his uncle in Malbourne last October. His uncle's name is Giovanni and his cousins name is Sam Guccione. Do you know them? Sam's daughter just got married this past October..Elisa is her name also...please reply...ciao

I'll have to speak to my grandmother about it - I'm not sure if we're related, there are about 14 Guccione's in the phone book and i'm not related to most of them (that i know of anyway!) but i will get back to you as soon as i can! ciao

I'm also from the Chicago area. My father's name is James ... his mother was Josephine. I can't remember all the names of his siblings ... I know there was a Joseph, Lori, Laverne ... and about 5 more. hard to keep track when you meet so many relatives.
We used to have reunions the first Sunday of every Augus if I remember correctly ... unfortunately I've lost touch with that side of my family, but do any of those names ring a bell? I'm also related to some fellow chicagoans with the name Ciffone ...
