Marion E. Guba Hevener
Surgical tech was FHS grad, had clown ministry


Marion E. Guba Hevener of 1517 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, passed away unexpectedly at 8:48 a.m. Friday (1-15-10) in her residence. She was 64.

Ms. Hevener was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Farrell, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Giroski Guba.

A lifelong area resident, she graduated in 1963 from Farrell High School.

Marion was employed at one time by what is now known as Sharon Regional Health System, and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Youngstown, as a surgical technician. She previously worked in housekeeping at Ron Joy Nursing Home, Boardman, Ohio, and currently for John XXIII Home for Senior Citizens, Hermitage.

A devout Christian, Marion was a member of Lakeside Evangelical Congregational Church, Pymatuning Township, and was a former member of St. John’s Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Sharon. She enjoyed Bible classes and she also was known to dress as “Blossom the Clown” and use her clown ministry to entertain and teach her audience.

She is survived by: her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Guba, with whom she lived; her son, Michael P. Hevener, Austintown, Ohio; her aunt, Julia Miklos, Hermitage; her two cousins, Ruth Guba, Sharon; and Mary Ann Bokar and her husband George, all Sharon.
