Looking for any info on my GG Grandfather who is from Cosenza, Calabria. He was born around 1860. He married Maria Raphael Sandanato (b 1867). They emigrated to NY then to NJ aroound 1900 - he came over first in 1895.

It is my understanding some of the Guaglianone's went ot Argentina? I'm having a hard time finding any info since he changed his name to Frank Williams when he emigrated.

Hello !
My name is Mariela Guaglianone, and I actually live in Argentina. My italian grandfather Alberto came to the country when he was very little, I really don't have much information about it and unfortunately he died many years ago...but I know he was born in Calabria.
I searched this once and there are other families with our last name in Argentina, but it seems we don't have any relation...

My fathers name is Francesco Guaglianone. He was born and raised in NJ and he also used Frank Williams. He was born in 1916. His parents wer born in Calabria. Could there be a connection here? It could be possible that your GG Grandfather is my great uncle. My grandfather's name is Miguel Guaglianone.

My grandfather's name is Vincenzo Guaglianone. He was born in San Marco, Argentano, Cosenza, Italy in 1890. He lived in Brooklyn,NY and Long Island, NY. He had 5 children..all lived in the same area.He married Gilda Scalise. Vincenzo's brother married Gilda's sister and they had 7 children. Maybe there's some connection.

My great uncle is also Vincenzo Guaglianone. Born 1884 in San Marco Argentano. I realize that these may be two different men; that name seems to be a dime-a-dozen in Southern Italy.
He also came to Brooklyn (in 1906) really, what Italian didn't? His sister, my grandmother, was Maria Amalia Guaglianone, married to Vincenzo Cipolla from Mongrassano.
This message board stuff is annoying,

Did you ever find any information on him? We have a Frank Williams aka Francesco Guaglianone in our family tree also. He was born in Malvito, Italy in 1895 to Luigi Antonio Guaglianone and Michelina Ronzo. Frank married Lilly Arena. The Arena and the Guaglianone families in our tree changed their last name to Williams when they immigrated from Italy. Some lived in Pennsylvania, some moved to New York, then to New Jersey, but they all originally came from Fagnano Castello, Malvito, San Sosti areas in Italy. Our Guaglianones came from the sons of Giambattista Guaglianone and Maria Raffaela Papalia, Vincenzo, Pasquale, Luigi, Francesco and Antonio.

Our Guaglianone could very well be related to yours.
