I have a copy of a family book that was written by a retired Army Col. while researching his own family (Miltenberger). It records a portion of the GSell surname but it only goes back to the late 1700's early 1800's. It does not give a history of where they are from. Most of the names mentioned are of my ancestors from St. Louis, MO.

Have you ever tried the Miltenberger Family Quarterlies by Gordon Miltenberger? There is also a book on Miltenbergers from Alsace and many of them mentioned in the book settled in St. Louis.

Most of my Miltenberger ancestors are from St. Louis as well. Do you have any information on an Andreas/Andrew Miltenberger? Please email if so at

Thanks!

Hi,

My grandfather Miltenberger was a banker in St. Louis who co-owned the DeMenil house with Dr. DeMenil. I previously had found a relative who had information but I lost the information. My grandmother was Marian Miltenberger Darst. Can you help me?
