I reviewed events in the 1200's. In 1291 there was a major battle and Switzerland won independence. Uri, Schwyz, and Unterwalden, represent the 3 mounds on the Gsell coat of arms. Also there is reference to a william tell a lengendary hero during that time, also possible allias. I think William Tell is Possible Wilhelm Gsell. He shot a apple off his son head with a crossbow and also shot Gesslar later on. This would point to the crossbow on the Gsell coat of arms, which means marksmanship. http://www.bartleby.com/65/te/Tell-Wil.html

Also there is no valid proof of a William Tell existing which means it was a allias.

My father has a book about the the G'sell history. And in the book it shows a picture of a Knight with the G'sell coat of arms on his shield. It has the three mounds and on top of the mounds is a crossbow. It has th Knight in his G'sell armor. It has a horse tail on top of the his head gear. It shows the way there armor and the way the G'sell Knights made there's diffrent. The book also has a listing of all the G'sells in the world. And which country there from and there addresses. I will try to scan the picture of the Knight. It is nice to know we were such feared Knights. When everyone else was fighting with swords and rocks we were using crossbows. Ed
