Hi Angela - You had replied to my Grzybowski inquiry almost 2 years ago, and here I am, finally replying!! I had given up all hope of anything coming out of this, but today I received an e-mail from a Luana Grzybowski, who wanted some info.
I went back to the message board and found your reply!
I am really starting from scratch!! All my aunts and uncles on the Grzybowski side (including my dad) are deceased! There is no one to give me any info at all!! I guess I'm kinda taking a shot in the dark.
I also saw both Gregorz and Joseph on the Ellis Island site, so I was hoping maybe this was a lead. I don't know if my grandfather ever lived anywhere in MI except Wayne County, which Detroit was a part of. He married Maryanna Planecki, and I "think" they married here in MI. I know he was very young when he came here, and the only other thing I can contribute is that he died of the flu epidemic back in the 1920's. He is buried at Holy Cross cemetery in southwest Detroit. (My father was only about 4 when his dad died).
