I've been looking for information on an Albert Grzebien who lived in Minnesota for a short while. He was a first cousin to my Grandfather. Alberts parents were John & Felka(Tohara)Grzebien . Our family that came to Minnesota went by the name Grzebieniowski. Albert moved to Detroit in about 1916 - he died in the flu outbreak of 1918 at the age of 31. He supposedly came from Poland to earn money to bring his wife Anna and young child over. I see there are many people on the east coast with the name Grzebien. Hope you can help.

Dear Mr. Kevin Grzebien:

My mother's family name is Grzebien. She came from Poland in May 1939. Her family is originary from the Polish region of Gdansk and Bydgoszcz (Pomorze or Eastern Pomerania). Now she is 94 years old.

I know that in Poland exists another family Grzebien originary from Upper Silesia. One of members of that family, Mr. Bruno Grzebien, moved to Canada and, may be, 30 years ago, was Minister in the Government of one of the Canadian Provinces (may by in Edmonton, Calgary, but I am not sure).

In the South of Poland, there is a Mountain called Polski
Grzebien, and a village called Grzebien.

Grzebien is an old Polish name and not a short form of Grzebieniowski.

I was born in Santiago, Chile and I am Chilean. I am 54 years old. I am Economist, Roman Catholic. I am i the Charismatic Renewal in Chile.

Excuse me, but I dont speak English very well. I speak well Polish and Spanish.

Best regards, God Bless You

Boguslaw
